Today was the most challenging day yet for me. It was hot, the sun was blaring and I just wanted to stop.

But we pushed through.

Layla fell asleep almost the entire time.

She was awoken with a big splash…

It was another early running day for us.

I couldn’t WAIT to get in that water.

Fortunately for us, we were pretty much the only ones there.

Yeah.

We completely ran through the water spouts. haha

It felt wonderful.

We came home, hung out with Amy for a little bit…and then got ready for the day.

Peanut enjoyed her bath.

She hung out in her pack and play while I got ready.

All was going well until I started to dry my hair.

Oh my gosh.

SHE WAS TERRIFIED.

For the first time ever, she just cried and screamed and wanted to be picked up immediately.

I turned the hair dryer off and she calmed down.

There was nothing I could do to make her see that it was ok.

You can only imagine what that meant for my hair. haha

It was most definitely going to be a hat day.

Layla was very pleased with that decision.

She thinks it is just hilarious to get up under the bill of my hat.

…they just keep getting better!

We ran a few errands, then came home and hung out.

Layla was caught trying to turn the TV on.

She was a good girl today.

She always is.

She was ready to go to bed relatively early tonight…and I’m about to follow right behind her.

We cleaned all morning.

Scratch that.

I cleaned. Layla watched.

Later that day, we took a trip to Marshalls to look around and get out of the house.

Layla was a very good girl in the store. She is going through a shy stage right now… sort of a stranger anxiety phase.

She will smile at some people and start to cry when others approach her or talk to her.

We came back home and played a little more then got ready to go to bed.

It was a productive day.

We tried out a new park, which had more inclines than I prefer. haha

Layla didn’t mind… she went right to sleep.

She was OUT.

Then we met up with some girls at Panera [...]]]> We started the day running in Visalia with Amy.

I had a delicious french toast bagel and I’ve been craving another one ever since!

Layla woke up and was ready to ham it up.

Then she decided to be camera shy.

Nope.

Changed her mind again.

Time to ham it up.

Once we arrived back home, she was wide awake and ready to play!

We hung out at home, cleaned a bit and played some more.

I was so exhausted by the end of the day, that I decided to call it an early night.

We’ve had some long days, late nights…and early mornings lately.

After church we headed to Fresno to go to HomeGoods.

Layla slept the whole way there.

She got really cranky in the store, so our trip was cut short, which was disappointing.

We got up bright and early to get ready for church.

We headed back home…

but Peanut wasn’t having it.

She was whining and hollering the whole way…so I pulled over to feed her.

She barely ate, but was pleased as punch to be in the front seat.

Happy as a gopher in soft dirt.

Happy as clam.

…and ready to get a hold of anything she could get her hands on.

Once we got back, I was in the mood for change.

I wanted to rearrange and clean thoroughly.

Layla helped me.

She was all over the lamp.

The rest of the time, Layla decided to perform a balancing act.

And, then she was a giggle monster.

It just cracked me up.
