Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

How inappropriate is it that I am posting about Valentine’s Day 4 days late?

Well, I’m catching up.

I’m always catching up.

We had fun celebrating our first Valentine’s day with Layla. :)  As I mentioned in my previous post, the carrier was in port for the weekend before Valentine’s day… so we celebrated the holiday on Sunday and saw Jon off again on the morning of Valentine’s Day.

Happy Valentine’s Day, Layla!

I just loved this sweet little Valentine’s outfit. I may be bias, but I thought Miss Peanut looked adorable!

Happy Girl!

Haha. What a face. :)

An attempt at a family picture.

Take One.

Take Two.

Good enough. haha

We had our Valentine dinner at Pat and Oscars.

Call us crazy, but we actually prefer casual restaurants over fancy schmancy ones.

And I lose my marbles for their breadsticks!!

Peanut wants a breadstick.

Not yet, Peanut. You have to grow some teeth first.

Will you settle for a smooch?

After dinner we hopped in a time machine and traveled back to 1983, where we found our hotel room.

If you follow me on twitter, then you got a Pioneer Woman style hotel room tour, complete with track lighting, pastel water color pictures with gold frames and a bathroom that I was pretty sure was stolen from an airplane lavatory. Even the mattress was an antique. haha Here’s a little peek:

I know. Jackpot.

Peanut didn’t seem to mind. She woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Layla and daddy having a little bonding time before he left.

Layla loves her daddy.

And it is pretty obvious that daddy loves his Layla. 😉

After we saw Jon off, Layla and I met up with my mom for lunch at the Airport Cafe. It was such a beautiful day… perfect for flying. There were plenty of planes to watch from the patio. That’s my idea of a good time. :)

Grandma and Layla.

We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out at my parents’ house.

Layla enjoying her Bumbo.

I was even surprised with some pretty flowers. :)

Layla went through THREE outfits in one day.

And not because we like variety.

(If you catch my drift)

Look at that little belly.

That is just about the cutest muffin top I’ve ever seen. haha

My two cute girls. :)

I hope y’all had a great Valentine’s Day!

(Even if I’m 4 days late) 😉
