I have created my first ever Tablescape! I just love to see everyone’s Tablescape creations when Between Naps on the Porch hosts Tablescape Thursday! Here we go:
I wanted to go with a “Gulf Coast” sea theme… using everything that is so delightful about living on the coast. Seashells, star fish, hydrangeas, mason jars and sweet tea…all enjoyed with a gentle breeze under the rising moon. An absolutely perfect setting to enjoy the company of someone special.
I started with a lovely Waverly print table cloth… pretty yellow and white stripes set the back drop for bright hydrangeas colored in periwinkle, purples, blues and greens.
I wanted the boldness of the table cloth to really stand out… so I chose a green plate set to match the leaves of the hydrangeas. I topped the plate with a Star Fish accent to give a “lucky to live by the sea” feel.
Mason Jars were filled with sweet tea…there is no other way to relax and enjoy a warm spring evening. I tied sheer periwinkle bows onto the mason jars. Such a simple but special way to make a jar go from plain to pretty.
The center jars were filled with hydrangeas and lavender. I arranged the flowers in two old antique bottles and a mason jar filled with shells.Mason Jar filled with shells.
There were several tea lights around the table…
Hope y’all enjoyed my first Tablescape with a little taste of the Gulf Coast. You are welcome back anytime.
