Springtime Dishes Have Bloomed

The sun is shining and the winter chill is fading, the flowers are blooming and the trees are starting to bud.

The birds are singing a song of life renewed…

Amen! Hallelujah! Rejoice!

The signs of Spring are here!

And I couldn’t be more ready. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy each season thoroughly for what they are, but as a new season approaches, I get giddy to change up the scenery and activity. It is time to spring clean, to fold up and put away the winter layers of the house and replace them with light and fresh trimmings.

Just in the nick of time, I found an adorable collection of plates and bowls.

After a long winter season, Spring dishes are finally blooming in this Prairie kitchen.

Ugh. I just love this print. So much that I can hardly stand it!

I love the flower detailing on the inside of the bowls and mugs.

Not to mention the red scallops on the bowls and the red gingham on the mugs.

Just my taste. :)

The collection is by 222 Fifth Avenue and called New Country.

It reminds me of Cath Kidston (and I adore her style).

I bought them as individual pieces (since I wanted to mix and match) at HomeGoods and at Marshalls.

They also have this collection at Bed, Bath and Beyond online.

I also found some spotty bowls by Style Happy at HomeGoods.

They were just so fun, I had to give them a home.

Some of my plates are square, and some of them are round.

I’m still on the hunt for some red gingham bowls and some of the white mugs.

I came across a great tip for your dishes that I thought I’d share:

Such a simple solution that makes such a big difference.

I am just pleased as punch with my springtime finds!

How is your transition to Spring coming along? :)
