Layla is a snuggler.
Let the previous statement serve as a euphemism for I-will-cry-if-you-don’t-hold-me.
I guess there are worse things, right?
So, last night we went grocery shopping and, of course, Layla won’t have any part in riding around in her car seat. So I will usually just hold her and she will just look around at everyone and everything. Well last night she was out in about 5 minutes flat. I hadn’t taken my Project 365 picture yet (more on that in a minute) so I had Jon take a picture of us. Conveniently we are on the baking aisle. haha That wasn’t planned.
I pulled up her snuggly little bonnet to see her little sleeping face… but when I looked at the picture I noticed something far more significant: Layla’s hands were sending us a subliminal message!
“Hook ’em Horns!”
Which I interpreted to “Mama, take me back to Texas”.
Awww… my little Texas girl. Making Mommy proud already.
Yes, I took her out in her jammies. We were going to Walmart; she fit in perfectly.
In other news… have y’all heard of 365 Project?
I’m always the last to hear about these things… I’m not even going to pretend to be hip or savvy to what is popular these days. haha My sister had invited me to do it… and I decided, what the heck. Why not add one more thing to my plate.
All you do is take a picture every day. Just one picture.
It is a photo journal of sorts. I thought it would be fun to take a picture everyday of Layla and watch as she grows and changes over the year. It really isn’t that difficult. In addition to uploading, you can email a picture to the site, too. Which is convenient when you take a lot of pictures with your camera phone. (Which I do) In fact, all of my pictures so far have been from my camera phone. Which may explain the poor quality pictures. haha One day I will get a nice DSLR camera. But until then, my point and shoot camera will have to work. And my phone. 😉
If any of you decide to join 365 Project, you can find me here. I’d love to follow your projects, too!
Happy Thursday to you!
