In the blogLight: 7th Edition

Welcome to the 7th Edition of In the blogLight!

How I Found It:

I have absolutely no idea how I came across The Farm Chicks. Probably because I have been following them (now a singular “her”) forever. But let’s just say that when I came across The Farm Chicks site, I was in Hog Heaven!

What I Love About It:

Besides being a feast for the eyes? Um… pretty much everything! There are certain styles that you really “click” with and Serena’s style is exactly that for me. Farm fresh vintage-y country that is totally current and ADORABLE. I love the mixture of junktiques and cheerful colors and designs. It is totally cozy and comfortable and, at times, nostalgic feeling… but completely relevant to modern country. And I’m making no sense. haha

Aside from just a visual delight, Serena is legit. She has such a unique and incredible life story of growing up in a gypsy wagon built by her father, travelling around and living simply. Her experiences have given her an eye for beauty in places that are often overlooked, which is such a welcomed quality in our lives for so many of us. Sometimes the reminder that living more simply, finding beauty in nature and valuing family and friendships are really the most meaningful aspects to life. And it doesn’t hurt to throw in darling style either. :)

In Summation:

There really are very few blogs out there that you can get lost in the wonderland of creativity and feel like it has practical application to your daily life; The Farm Chicks is one of those rare gems. And the ever-increasing popularity is an indication that I’m not the only one that sees this.

It is now officially Fall and there is nothing that I want to do more than pull out some crocheting projects. There is just something about Fall and Winter that are synonymous with the coziness of crocheting. So, you can only imagine my delight when I came across ChicnWarm’s Etsy shop with all sorts of crocheted goodness! Let’s just start with those cloche hats! Adorable! And so cozy looking! The scarf is lightweight and perfect for Fall’s transition into cooler weather. And the fall colored bib necklace? What a statement piece! Talk about a fun way to spice up an outfit. I just love it all! Bring on Fall! If you need some inspiration to cozy up… head over to Chic N Warm!
