Tablescape Thursday: Pink Chic

Its Tablescape Thursday time… Hosted by Between Naps on the Porch!

For this week’s Tablescape…I wanted to go with something feminine but chic… and the perfect combination (to me) is pink accented with black and white. This assemblage is a combination of things that I find pretty and delightful… simple and classic.

I started off with a pink and white gingham tablecloth. I accented it with a white with black polka dot table runner and matching napkins. I fanned the napkins and placed the silverware in between the fans to fancy it up a bit. The napkins were tied with a pretty pink ribbon.

I used black and white plates, interchanging the top and bottom plate colors. (Some had big black plates with small white plates on top and vice versa).

Every plate set was topped with a white bowl accented in black stripes.

…and Pink flowers garnished the plates for a pretty contrast.

I used rag ribbons that matched the napkins to tie around the flute glasses…to add a little shabby character to the “chic”. ;)

The centerpiece was a rusty old bird cage with 3 cream colored candles… topped with a black and white polka dot bow.

On either side of the bird cage were shabby cream colored flower pots with pink and cream ranunculus.

And some pretty birdies came to join in on the fun! A white one and a black one!

The black birdie was adorned with a very stylish rag scarf… and conveniently matched the rest of the table accents. ;)

To me, this is a perfect setting to have a dinner with your girlfriends. :)
