Without a doubt, O Holy Night is my favorite Christmas song ever! There are only a handful of songs that can give me chills almost every time I hear them. Revelation Song is one of them. And O Holy Night is another one.
This is one of those songs that everyone has a favorite version of…
I would love to know… who sings this song the best?
1. Celine Dion
2. Mariah Carey
3. Celtic Woman
4. Carrie Underwood
5. Josh Groban
6. David Phelps
7. Sarah Brightman
8. Martina Mcbride
9. Charlotte Church
10. Il Divo
And finally… how cute is this little girl!?
Ready, Set… VOTE! (You can vote for more than one…)
And just because I have to… Here is Revelation Song.

There seems to be a mistake. I know you couldn’t have forgotten Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s “Christmas Melody” including O Holy Night, so I’m just going to assume the HTML got cut off in the posting. That would obviously be my first choice…although these are good too
I was so glad I found Celtic Woman’s version in the options!
These girls sing it like no other! Really the most angelic version I’ve ever heard of this beautiful song!
Celtic Woman version….. instant goose bump and chills up your spine….
Ahhh!!! I love Celtic Woman!!! they def sing it the best!!! as Michaela said (hi Michaela
) hahaha most definitely Celtic Woman!
Some very good choices, but you can’t improve on perfection-Celtic Woman.
Thank you so much for putting this together. It was a joy for me to listen and think of the wonderful message in beautiful song. Very special.
Celtic Woman all the way!!!!
Celtic Woman is fantastic, but I have to ask, why did you leave off Rhema (the 7 yr old) in the voting? I would have had to vote for her as well … she’s great for one so young!
You simply CANNOT beat Celtic Woman’s version of this song! I was so glad to see it on the list!!!!! Amazing song sang by amazing ladies!
Some of them sang it too slow – I’ve sung it (I’m a first soprano & can read music), it’s supposed to about the tempo that Carrie Underwood & Martina McBride did it – otherwise, it sounds too dragged out. Sarah Brightman pronounced the words too operatic – you couldn’t understand a word she said, although I realize she might have done some of them in another language (if I hadn’t recognized the melody, I wouldn’t have known what she was singing).
Celtic Woman had the best harmony, with El Divo close behind. David Phelps did the best emphasis on key words/phrases. Mariah Carrey’s version – vocal & instrumental – was too “rocky”, too much “soul”; she wore her dress too low in the neckline – not appropriate.
That little girl (is this all set up to promote her – I can tell she’s had vocal training) has a good quality voice – a tiny bit of vibrato and pretty wide vocal range – she just needs practice staying on key.
Anything Celtic Woman sings is the best version. This is not my opinion, it’s a fact! Just ask me!!
My favorite was not one of the choices. I go with John Berry.
Cantique de Noel has always been my favorite song for the Christmas season. It’s sweeping majesty and wonderful message
seem to make the heart glow from inside out. Celtic
woman definitely transcends ordinary, even talented singing. Celtic Woman is as close to vocal perfection as you can get on earth. Their harmonies are beautiful and they truly enjoy singing with one another and for a listening audience. Thank you so much for including them in the POLL…carla
what about Michael Crawford’s version. It is quite simply one of the greatest performances I have ever heard. His version is honestly the best.
