His excuse for this scruffy strip of wrong is “tradition”. Everyone grows a mustache before they head to boat as a right of passage while they earn their boat qualification. And I’m fine with that. What I’m not fine with… is how much he is enjoying it. 
Heaven help me, I am married to a man that has a groovy, far-out mustache. Despite what you might think, he does not drive a van without windows. Go down pipes? Hop over beetles? Bump bricks with his head? Now that is a completely different story.
