I love this. I wish our squadron would do something like this! Must have been so much fun. My husband took me in the sim last year, it was amazing. We had it all set up and I really felt like we were flying, it even made me super nauseous! I love your patch. Mine says “The Mrs.” I always wear it to our flight suit formal. It’s so cute our husbands think to get us stuff like that. On a side not…I HATE flying!!!! I have to take valium to fly! haha It is so totally cute you married a jet pilot when you always dreamed of being one yourself!!!
I bet you were like a kid in a candy store. that radar room looks EXTREMELY serious. so did they just buckle you into the real jet and then go, “aaallllright, thats enough…”? haha
Wonderful!! Oh, how I miss washing flight suits!! And it’ll be another 3 years…Mr. YH is back to flying a desk. Go staff job! {silence} Mr. YH did some flight training in Corpus. That was before me- or in between me- however you want to look at it! Anyway! Glad you had a great time! I’ve been up in a Herk on a hop back to Alaska. I was the only female on board and had to go to the bathroom SO badly but I simply was not going to use the honey bucket with the nav taking a nap on the pallets!
I absolutely LOVED reading Part 1 AND 2!! Your entire story is simply amazing! You are one special person Melissa…and reading about everything was so interesting and fun.
